IB Youth Advisory Council (YAC)

Eligibility: Global (Current IB students/ recent grads)

The IB Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a new initiative from the IB to ensure IB students are recognized, represented, and given a channel where feedback can be communicated with the IB. We are looking for creative, proactive, and collaborative problem-solvers who would be excited to represent the voice of IB students worldwide, alongside fellow YAC members to develop sustainable solutions together.  

12 passionate youth leaders who are MYP, CP and DP students or recent graduates, will be selected to join the YAC to represent a diversity of student experiences from across the globe. The YAC is dedicated to addressing the needs of IB students in their school and local communities, and working with the IB to strategize long-lasting solutions to improve the IB student experience.  

We are looking for creative, proactive, and collaborative problem-solvers who would be excited to represent the voice of IB students worldwide, alongside fellow YAC members to develop sustainable solutions together.   

You should be able to:  

• Give a compelling and passionate explanation for why you want to join the IB YAC.   

• Provide examples of significant involvement in previous activities showing leadership, community service, or advocacy.  

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of how participation can enhance student engagement and improve the IB experience for future students.  

• Demonstrate originality and initiative in problem-solving.
