Are you interested in getting involved in shaping federal and/or state mental health policy efforts? Active Minds is thrilled to announce the launch of the Trailblazers Advocacy Network, a new initiative aimed at equipping a select group of 50 young adults (ages 18-25) to engage in impactful federal and state policy advocacy work.

What’s in Store:

• Compensation: Participants will be paid $200 for their involvement.

• Virtual Kick-off Meeting: Participants will meet in late October to kick-off the network (exact date/time to be determined together based on schedules).

• Virtual Quarterly Meetings: Participants will meet with Active Minds' Policy Manager every three months to discuss and strategize federal and state policy advocacy efforts.

• Monthly Updates: Stay informed with regular policy updates via email.

• Advocacy Actions: Engage in a variety of activities such as:

  • Storytelling training

  • Creating video stories to support policy initiatives

  • Sharing personal experiences with policymakers through meetings or written correspondence

  • Mobilizing your own networks around important policy issues

  • Writing op-eds or using social media to raise awareness
